About the roles:

As a Night Care Worker at our new Children’s home, you will be an integral part of our team who put the childrenand young people at the heart of everything we do. You will provide a stimulating environment, conducive to the educational, personal and social development of the children as outlined on their education, health and care plans (EHCP). You will be a Key Worker for a child or small groups of children offering appropriate levels of support, guidance and care and you will maintain regular contact with the parents/carers of our children and young people, under the direction of senior staff.

About you:

Ideally, for this role, we are looking for someone who has experience of working within a children’s home setting, is passionate about supporting young people and holds a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent. Without this qualification, we are unable to progress your application.

About us:

Our new home, part of Kedleston Group Limited, will be an independent children’s home in Manningtree, Essex, for children and young people aged between the ages of 9 and 17 who may have experienced social, emotional and mental health needs. We will be providing a nurturing home led by highly-experienced managers and with a strong, vibrant team, each of whom bring their own specialisms, including sport, mental health and outdoor activities.

We look for people to join our staff team who have the creativity and enthusiasm needed to deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You will be expected to engage in annual safeguarding training, be familiar with key policies and ensure you know the steps to take should be made aware of a safeguarding or child protection concern. You will remain vigilant and act swiftly if you have concerns about a child and be an appropriate role model for both children and colleagues at all times.

The successful candidate is required to provide references and will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check. We will ask you to complete a criminal self-declaration form, and we will conduct online searches for information that is publicly available.
