Years 10 and 11 from Wings Cumbria took the train and enjoyed a fantastic day out to Edinburgh Zoo, to support their understanding of the diversity of Australian wildlife, which will be used to inform their Aboriginal Art projects.
They enjoyed a talk about Australian animals and visited the penguins, cassowary, snakes, kangaroos, wallabies and the famous koalas (only available to see at Longleat and Edinburgh in the UK) - they even got to feel a sample of their fur!
They gained plenty of inspiration.
They were delighted to receive some wonderful feedback from one of their fellow travellers on the train, "I would like to take this time to applaud the behaviour of your kids that we had the pleasure of meeting on our train to Manchester....they were returning after a trip to Edinburgh Zoo....The kids were really interested and interacted well....hats off to them, you should be very proud..."
