What's good about Wings School Cumbria?
Wings Cumbria offers both residential and day school placements for children and young people aged from 9 to 18 years old.
There are lots of different living areas which are split up in to small homely environments, set around the beautiful spacious grounds.
Young people who live at Wings, have their own room which they can personalise with their favourite posters, wallpaper and duvet set, so it’s just how they like it.
There is plenty of room on site for bike riding, skateboarding and sports – we have our own off road motorbike and buggy track, full sized football pitch, modern sports hall and a play area with covered chill out space.
We are very lucky to have a small farm, with chickens, pigs and goats; and a productive allotment style garden, where we grow an array of tasty vegetables and flowers.
Because of our rural location, young people can get involved with the fun events in the local community, as well as clubs such as scouts, cadets, rugby, football and street dance. The Lake District is right on our doorstep, so we can get out onto the hills for walks, go sailing on the lake, or just enjoy the fresh air!
