Outcomes

Arc Oakbridge School supports young people to gain the knowledge, skills and qualifications at various levels up to and including GCSEs along with an increasing range of vocational qualifications as the school develops. At every stage of their education we focus on preparing young people for the next stage, putting the development of their independence at the heart of everything we do. Our ultimate goal is for all our young people to be confident and capable young people who leave school equipped to lead fulfilling lives.

  • All children at Arc Oakbridge School are entitled to access the Careers Education, Information and Guidance (CEIAG) programme which meets professional standards of practice and follows the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks.
  • Careers education, information and guidance is delivered by trained staff and is impartial and person-centered.
  • The programme will raise student aspirations and equip our young people with the necessary emotional intelligence and life skills, alongside accessible qualifications, academic and vocational knowledge to succeed to their best potential.
  • Children leave Arc Oakbridge School with a portfolio of successes and achievements helping them to prepare for adulthood and successfully integrate into the community and the wider world of work.

Year 11 leavers at Arc Oakbridge School achieved a range of impressive qualifications during 2023.

Highlights included:

  • 100% pupils achieved qualifications in both Maths and English.
  • 80% of pupils achieved qualifications in Maths, English and Science.

 

Careers

At Arc Oakbridge School we aim to provide our Key Stage 4 young people with safe and meaningful career development and work experience placements. This will be done sensitively to meet the unique needs of our children and young people, while ensuring that all safeguarding procedures are in place.

We work closely with families and local colleges to work out the best possible opportunities for our young people. We are currently developing our work experience programme in line with the individual needs of our young people. We will be working with local businesses and industries and tailor the experience to meet each young person’s specific interests.
