Headteacher – Enfield

Salary: circa £70k

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and inspirational leader to join our team, as we work towards ensuring our new school in Enfield is ready for opening in Spring Term 2021.

The role will initially see you collaborate with the senior management and wider development team on the internal design of the school, assist with the planning process and contribute to the commissioning programme, with lead responsibility for the registration of the school working with all internal and external stakeholders as required.

Once registered, the School will have up to 50 children, age 7 to 16 on roll (ASC/Speech and Language needs/ Mild Learning Difficulties). It is envisaged that this will initially primarily be KS3 working closely with our Leaways School in Clapton, East London.

Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for the operational management of the school, ensuring the highest quality specialist education for our students. As Headteacher, in addition to ensuring the School complies with and exceeds all regulatory requirements, you will lead the School in all areas of education and learning to ensure all our young people achieve their maximum potential.

Your role will also require you to structure, organise and develop a team of professionals who are committed to delivering the School’s Vision, ensuring the highest possible outcomes for all its children.

Through your visionary, inspired leadership and working in partnership with our children and young people, their families, carers and other stakeholders, to achieve outcomes which make a difference, you will ensure the School becomes a leading school within the sector, delivering on its Vision and Mission.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Headteacher who is experienced within the SEN sector and who shares our mission to develop confident and capable young people by meeting their educational, health and social care needs in a structured and nurturing school environment.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to evidence strong leadership qualities, a passion for innovation and continuous improvement, as well as demonstrable experience and knowledge of working within the arena of special education needs, particularly ASC.

We will offer you the opportunity to engage and collaborate with colleagues across our other provisions within the Kedleston family, a wealth of opportunities for professional and career development, a competitive salary of circa £70k and an array of other staff benefits as well as an attractive contributory pension scheme.

If you share our values and are willing to make a difference to the lives of children and young people, we’d love to hear from you.
