This role is working 42 weeks per year during school term time and INSET plus 6 weeks holiday to be taken during school closure periods.

About the role:

As the Office Manager at Leaways School, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will be managing and supervising all administration staff, maintenance team, housekeeping team, doing their termly supervisions and yearly appraisals. You will be providing a confidential secretarial and comprehensive administrative support service to the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team including managing telephone calls, typing, maintaining general and confidential filing systems, making appointments, and maintaining a diary. You will be the first ‘point of call’ for parents, overseeing the management for the daily school attendance registers for students and staff, attend School Governance, SLT Meetings and any other meetings, minuting as required. You will manage the induction process of new starters and ensure that the HR system, Training Matrix, Single Central Record and personnel files are kept up to date.

About you:

Ideally, for this role, we are looking for someone who has experience in a similar role with previous line management experience. You will be a hardworking individual with a flexible can-do attitude and have an organised approach. You will have a good understanding of the need to ensure that records are accurate and kept up to date. About us:

Leaways School, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist day school in Clapton, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 17. The school provides a safe learning environment for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs including autism and an EHC Plan. We also have a dedicated primary unit taking children from 7 years old. We aim to offer as close to a mainstream experience as possible but provide the additional care and support needed around each young person to enable them to thrive.
