About the role:

As Registered Manager at our new Children’s home, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. We are currently looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team in opening and running one of our exciting new services that will be in Staines.

You will ensure a consistent, high quality care provision is set up and provided to all young people that live in the home, contributing to a rigorous programme of self-evaluation which drives a culture of self-improvement, you will also ensure that the quality of care provided for all our children is best in class and that the setting has a high quality, homely feel whilst creating a working environment in which employees are motivated and empowered to achieve in all they do for our children. You will be responsible for the Home’s occupancy targets and pro-actively work to ensure that there is an active waiting list for places. This complex and vital role will also entail upholding and maintaining registration standards, all relevant Legislation and adhering to the Regulations and quality standards.

About you:

For this role we are looking for someone who has relevant experience of working at a senior level with children with a range of needs including behavioural emotional and social difficulties, previous experience leading and managing a team of staff, and knowledge of current relevant legislation and guidelines. You will have experience in managing referrals and liaising with social work and commissioning teams. You will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent and hold or will be working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent. About us:                                       

Our new 5 bed home, part of Kedleston Group Limited, will be an independent children’s home in Staines for children and young people aged between the ages of 9 and 17 who may have experienced social, emotional and mental health needs. We will be providing a nurturing home led by highly-experienced managers and with a strong, vibrant team, each of whom bring their own specialisms, including sport, mental health and outdoor activities.

We look for people to join our staff team who have the creativity and enthusiasm needed to deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people.
