Site Cleaner

Reports to: Site Supervisor and Manager

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week (7am - 3pm)

Candidates must have access to their own transport as occasional travel to Thorseby will be required.

Responsibilities and Professional Duties

1. Cleaning

(a) Cleaning to a high standard the area or areas delegated by the Housekeeping Manager.

(b) Storing safely all cleaning materials at the end of the duty period in the appropriate storage facility.

(c) Participating in thorough ‘Spring Cleaning’ of allocated areas during School holidays.

(d) Adhering to good health and hygiene practices.

3. Dining Room

(a) Assisting in the serving up of food.

(b) On occasion, when required by the Housekeeping Manager, and / or to cover for absent colleagues, to assist the Cook with the preparation and cooking of food.

(c) Preparation of the room for meals, ensuring tables, chairs, floors and walls are clean.

(d) Assisting in the clearing up of the room after the meal has been eaten.

4. Care and Maintenance of Equipment

(a) Exercising care in the use of all equipment used.

(b) Reporting damage, faults and repairs necessary to the Housekeeping Manager.

5. Training and Development

(a) Participating in arrangements for your Induction, supervision, training and development.

(b) Undertaking qualifications deemed necessary by the Housekeeping Manager/ Principal/ Registered Manager to fulfil the requirements of the post.

(c) Reviewing your own methods of care and support.

(d) Participating in the safeguarding of all the children and ensuring that Wings Education Limited Child Protection Policy is adhered to.

6. Appraisal

Participating in your own Appraisal arrangements and those of others, as appropriate.

7. Staff Meetings

Attending meetings of staff, as arranged by Housekeeping Manager.
