About the role:

At Arc School Old Arley we support children age 7 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health needs.  We are seeking a passionate and committed PSHE & Careers Teacher to design and deliver engaging PSHE & Careers lessons to amall groups of children with special needs including ADHD, PAD, ASC, AD and associated social and emotional and mental health needs.

All our pupils have individual educational and health care plans and you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, educational psychologists, and support staff, to create a holistic support network for students. You will implement effective strategies to manage and support the behavioural challenges associated with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and AD, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a SEND setting, particularly with students exhibiting SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and AD.
  • Knowledge of effective strategies for behaviour management and social-emotional development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

About us:

Arc School Old Arley, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist day school near Nuneaton, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 16. We provide a safe learning environment for children and young people with a wide range of varying needs including social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), autism (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attachment difficulties (AD).
