How do I go about getting a placement?

Visit our Schools and Homes page to discover all our schools and homes.

Our innovative, independent, specialist residential schools, specialist day schools and children's homes across England help young people to thrive, flourish and reach their full academic and personal potential. We support young people living with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism (ASC) and specific learning difficulties which may affect their behaviour.

The next step is ito speak to our referrals team by phone or by email on 0800 024 6985 or You can also fill out an Enquiry Form.

Make sure you get in contact with a member of the Special Educational Needs team from your Local Authority for a conversation about school preference for your child. We would advise you have started the EHCP Assessment process before you speak to a Kedleston Group School. However, we would be happy to discuss our schools in more detail at any time.

We will need to find out all about your child’s needs, obtaining information through professional reports or school reports is key.

A copy of the draft or final EHCP will also be necessary.

We aim to run as many school visits as safely as possible whilst adhering to up to date government guidelines at this more challenging time. Each school and home has its own individual policy, so please fill in the Enquiry Form to find out more.

If you would like to see more of the schools you can visit the gallery pages for up to date photography.

Simply visit the Schools and Homes page to choose which gallery you would like to see.

We will need to agree funding with the Local Authority, if agreed we will work with the Local Authority on a start date. You will get welcome information and a transition plan.

No, we accept placements and referrals 365 days of the year. So get in contact with the team on 0800 024 6985 or
