Registered Manager

I started off my career with children and young people in a crisis intervention setting where the focus was on outdoor pursuits the goal being to enable the young people to meet challenges in a different way, I spent 5 years in this setting before progressing to Deputy manager at a home for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, this was a different challenge as I took on a more managerial position.

I also had the opportunity to work with children and young people experiencing child sexual exploitation, county lines, harmful sexual behaviours and mental health needs.

In my most recent Registered manager role the home specialised in working with children and young people with mental health needs thereby placed with us on DoLS to ensure we could safeguard and protect them.

To be on the journey with our young people enabling them to aspire to be all they can be is what motivates me to do this role.

I have over 10 years combined experience of working in residential care and fostering as an approved foster carer. I love football, I support Manchester United and I’ve been a Junior Football Coach for nearly 20 years.  

• I have my Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young Peoples Workforce.

• Currently working to gain Mental Health in Children and Young People at Level 2

I am told I have an excellent sense of humour and enjoy building positive relationships. I am passionate about what I do, and I want all the children to love being in our home. I want them to remember their time with us with great memories of the best days of their life.” 

I am I big Liverpool supporter and enjoy going to matches also watching matches on T.V. I enjoy keeping fit and going to the gym. I get extremely competitive when playing table tennis and pool.  I have 18 years’ experience working with children and young people. I have worked in residential settings and children in crisis intervention settings. I have enjoyed worked with young people from all backgrounds with different needs.” 

My qualifications include:

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare 

• First Aid  

• Team Teach  

• Currently working to gain Mental Health in Children and Young People at Level 2
