Arc School Napton is a specialist primary school based in a small village in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside and we look forward to welcoming you in.
Children come to us because we offer a bespoke environment which benefits children whose special educational needs cannot be met in a mainstream setting.
Our primary school provides a safe learning environment for children and young people with educational and social needs which are associated with the challenges of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), attachment disorder (AD), autism (ASC), dyslexia and dyspraxia. Some children have social emotional and mental health needs. (SEMH).
The school is small, nurturing and enabling. As a setting we are able to give pupils the bespoke support they need to feel safe and successful at school.
The curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of each child, whilst still providing a broad and balanced experience, so they have the opportunity to meet their full potential, in an environment which is both therapeutic and supportive.
We support pupils from both Key Stages 1 and 2 to access a school setting and develop the early learning skills that will enable them to make progress throughout their longer educational careers.
Children can enjoy a diverse range of subjects as part of the teaching at Napton, including music lessons, Nutrition and Cookery classes and participate in traditional PE curriculum subjects as well as regular educational trips. There is also the opportunity for all of the children to attend Forest School sessions where they can develop the skills to play, turn take, share, collaborate and plan, largely independent of the focused adult support they may previously have needed.
The school currently has a full-time Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and a team of Educational Psychologists. The focus of any therapeutic support is to help the children to reach their learning potential and give them the best opportunities to develop skills for secondary school.
At Arc School Napton we use Arbor to analyse and record behaviour and development of our pupils. This software sits alongside our own assessment framework that can measure the progress of our pupils in relation to the essential skills.
Arc School Napton are always learning and growing together.
