Staff at Silverways School

At Silverways School we have built a team of professionals who provide excellent support and education for children and young people with autistic spectrum conditions and associated learning needs. The team places the needs of the children, and improving their life-long outcomes, at the heart of everything they do.

Led by an experienced and successful Head Teacher, Jeanette Maynard, the Silverways team works in partnership with families and this joined-up approach leads to far better outcomes for all.

The school provides a warm, nurturing and safe learning space for children. Additional therapeutic support is available including occupational therapy and speech and language therapy.

The team at Silverways have been chosen because they have the experience, skills and values required to work effectively with children who struggle to cope in school.

Jeanette Maynard

Head Teacher

I’ve been teaching for 25 years and have, throughout my career, been drawn to working with the children who had additional needs or found school difficult. I was part of a team that designed a brand new purpose-built pupil referral unit in East London which was judged to be ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.

Ria Richards

Senior Teacher

I have spent the last eight years working in a variety of schools and have been very successful in teaching pupils with mild, moderate and highly complex needs. It has always seemed natural to me to develop pupils’ ability to develop resilience, grit, and drive.

Mags Bradshaw

Office Manager

I have worked in educational settings for the last 10 years and I am thrilled to take on this opportunity as Office Manager at Silverways School.
