Byron Highton has for the last year been delivering extremely powerful and dynamic anti knife crime presentations and child safeguarding awareness talks in schools and working closely with the Crown Prosecution both in Lancashire and Greater Manchester. He also works closely with Lancashire Constabulary/violence reduction unit, the Prince’s Trust and youth clubs, the Fire Service and many more organisations.
The presentations content discusses measures on criminal exploitation, grooming, county lines and the harsh reality and the devastating effects that knife crime has on the victims, preparatory families alike and the entire community as a whole.
The presentation has had tremendous feedback across every police force and senior officers within the police forces and has been quoted as one of the most powerful anti-knife crime talks being delivered in the U.K.
Byron has over the last year delivered the anti-crime presentation to over 15,000 children and young adults in schools across the UK, telling the tragic story of his younger brother Jon-Jo, who lost his life in 2014 to knife crime.
"Anyone who can keep the young people fully engaged for 1 ½ hours shows how much of an impact the information had on them. Byron’s life experience, visual presentation and music were high impact and meaningful for the young people."
The young people’s comments –
"This was really good, it was real and at times shocking but made me realise about the choices I make and the harm that could happen."
"Byron’s music in the presentation was awesome and I will be going on to listen to it again, he knew what he was talking about."
"Eve’s experience really made me think about my group of friends and how they act."
