Young People at Wings Cumbria enjoyed a fantastic kite making workshop!
The workshop started with the designing of kites and, once the kites were made, the young people tested their own kites to see how they flew.
The workshop leader had brought along a large octopus kite and those young people that could handle it, had a go flying it.
Kites are very ancient items, believed to have been first used in China 2500 years ago. They first came to Europe in the 13th century.
The kite flying has enhanced by the lovely weather and a good breeze.
