Young people undertook a range of exams including GCSEs and Functional Skills and achieved an average of six qualifications each across subjects including Maths, Science, Art and Design and PE.

100% of young people gained a Maths and English GCSE and 100% achieved a qualification in Maths, English and Science. Throughout the school, the young people achieved 20 GCSEs and 47 qualifications in total.

These qualifications, including Entry Level, BTEC, Functional Skills, GCSE, Asdan and Duke of Edinburgh Awards, will help young people from Wings School Notts go on to undertake further education, employment or training including mainstream college placements.

Dr Lynda Mitchell, Kedleston Group’s Director of Quality and Compliance, said: “COVID-19 presented huge challenges for the young people at Wings Notts and they have done fantastically well to achieve as they have. We’re thrilled our leavers are moving on to further education in mainstream colleges or into training in an apprenticeship and we’re incredibly proud of them all.

“They have worked so hard for these qualifications, showing great resilience and determination to succeed. Our role here is to nurture their individual interests and talents and give the young people the skills, confidence and experiences they need to give them a foundation to build on for further success.”
