Wings School Notts are an outstanding independent therapeutic residential provider with a specialist school on site in a small quiet village in Nottinghamshire.
Their therapeutic and holistic approach helps our young people aged between 9 to 17 with a variety of special educational needs reach their full potential in all aspects of life.
Wings School Notts provides a broad National Curriculum with subject specific classrooms and learning spaces for science, history, geography, music, food technology, information technology and horticulture.
Their 'Alternative Offsite Curriculum' allows children and young people who find working in a classroom difficult to re-engage in education working alongside local community groups.
As part of the 'Alternative Offsite Curriculum' some of the children and young people attend the nearby Oasis Centre and take part in a range of activities like horticulture, flower arranging and child care.
Five of the young people from Wings School Notts this week decided they wanted to throw a birthday party for one of the ladies who attends the Oasis Centre. They planned the decorations, chose the flowers and even sorted out a delicious cake. This wonderful and thoughtful act brought so much happiness to everyone at the Centre.
Well done to all the young people involved and what a great party!
