Thanks and a massive ‘well done’ to those at Wings School Notts for the donations to Sherwood Forest Food Bank.
The school received a lovely letter this week, thanking them for their involvement and effort in collecting donations to the food bank.
The total collected was 66.7kg which equates to over 200 meals to those who are less fortunate and need the support.
Sherwood Forest Food Bank doesn’t think anyone in the community should have to face going hungry. That’s why they provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
With the support from the staff, the children and young people from Wings School Notts worked hard to collect enough items to donate. They even took them along to the food bank themselves.
What a fantastic charitable effort from everyone involved. Well done.
Children and young people who have social and emotional problems (SEMH), autism (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), attachment needs, childhood trauma or other specific learning difficulties have the opportunity at Wings School Notts to develop to their full potential in preparation for their future life.
