Wings School Notts turns 10 this month, let’s celebrate the school, the children and young people and the amazing staff who have been there from the start!
Over the past 10 years Wings School Notts has been supporting young people to develop to their full potential in preparation for their future life. They promote the social and emotional wellbeing of children and young people, enabling them to achieve in education, enjoy social activities, have positive relationships and feel empowered.
The school and outstanding residential care team are lucky enough to have 6 fabulous members who have been there from the very beginning.
Pictured here, they have offered ongoing exceptional levels of service and have helped shape the school and care service to make it what it is today.

Some of the young people who started at the school, a decade ago, have gone on to independent living and securing work placements within the community. One young person in particular told us he wouldn’t be where he was today without the support offered to him throughout his time at Wings School Notts.
Kedleston Group Chief Executive Paul Brosnan said: “Since it opened a decade ago, Wings School Notts has seen the vast majority of its young people move on to further and higher education, work or training. This is a significant achievement for many of these young people, a large proportion of whom had been out of formal education for some time.
“Many have achieved impressive qualifications at the school including GCSEs and vocational awards which have contributed to their on-going progress and success.
“I’m delighted so many of these young people keep in touch and regularly let us know how they are getting on and update us on the progress they continue to make in their lives.
“I’d like to congratulate the school on its 10th anniversary and wish the children and the dedicated staff team the very best – here’s to the next decade of supporting children to overcome their difficulties and progress towards success.”
So, today, we will cut a cake and say a huge congratulations to all of those who have worked at Wings School Notts over the past 10 years. With a particular thanks to all the young people who have passed through the doors, good luck in everything you go on to.
