Alan Thompson

Headteacher

Alan has a wealth of experience in SEMH. Alan has been a head teacher in two previous SEMH schools. Alan joined Leaways in April 2022. Alan is dedicated to providing the best education experience for all pupils at Leaways.

Sam Lo-Pon

Deputy Headteacher

Samuel is the school lead for ASC provision and manages the schools Quiet learning Zone. Sam is an experienced classroom practitioner working with pupils with SEMH and ASC. Sam is committed to ensuring that pupils receive the best preparation for the next stage of their education or work life. Sam has positive working relationships with SEN teams within the placing authorities.

Dorran Clarke

Assistant Headteacher

I have worked in various roles within the education sector such as mainstream, alternative provision and special education for 15 years, I have had a number of pastoral and behaviour mentor roles supporting students from all walks of life including pupils of SEN and SEMH.

Emma Goode

SENCO and Careers

Emma joined the Leaways team in January 2022. Emma is the lead for the primary provision and is the Reading lead for the school. Emma’s enthusiasm is infectious as she skilfully engages the pupils in education. Emma has extensive experience working with children and their families, including trauma based education and family support programmes.

Paula Daley

Office Manager

Paula is a highly skilled office manager with years of experience in business management and finance. She has worked in schools very similar to Leaways providing support for parents, carers and students.

Kazeem Faturori-Edwards

Behaviour and Attendance Lead and DSL

Kazeem has worked at Leaways for two years. He has worked as a PE tutor, a Pastoral mentor and most recently he was promoted to pastoral lead with responsibilities for Behaviour and attendance. Kazeem is dedicated to ensuring that all pupils develop social and emotional skills needed to be successful in life.
