Music Teacher (SEN)

Salary up to £38,000 per year depending on experience

We are currently looking for an experienced Music Teacher to join our fantastic team and take responsibility for the overall provision of our Music and Performing Arts curriculum, developing and implementing the schemes of work for Music and Performing Arts at key stage 3 and 4. The role will also see the postholder work closely with the SLT to embed the school’s curriculum intent and implementation methods securely and consistently across the school.

You will be a qualified teacher and possess considerable experience in a similar SEN setting working with children and young people with autism spectrum condition and associated SEMH needs.

It is envisaged that interviews for the role will be held in the second week of January 2021.

Arc School Ansley is part of the Kedleston Group and opened in 2014.We are an independent specialist day school in Ansley, a lovely small village, for children and young people aged between 11 and 17.

Our experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who may have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs.

Many of our young people have experienced significant difficulties in mainstream school as a result of their associated social, emotional and mental health difficulties.  We support our children and young people through specialist teaching and intervention including a range of therapeutic supports.
