Deputy Headteacher - Arc School, Ansley, Warwickshire

Main Roles and Responsibilities
- Promotion and development of learning and teaching across the school
- Quality Assurance and professional standards, including performance management
- Curriculum Forward Planning and timetable construction
- Data Analysis and Development
- Assessment, Recording and Reporting
- Continuing Professional Development and staff induction
- Leading whole staff and subject meetings
The role will additionally support the Headteacher in:
- School leadership and stimulating a positive ethos
- Strategic planning
- Staff development, appraisal and training
- Building and strengthening links with the wider school community
- Managing teaching and learning
- Ensuring high standards of behaviour
The role will also act as DSL for the setting.
Essential requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status, preferably aspiring to NPQH
- 2:1 or above degree in a relevant subject
- Further relevant professional/academic study and evidence of CPD and knowledge of current issues in education
- At least 2 years of proven strong, successful leadership and management experience in a secondary school
- Experience of working effectively with vulnerable pupils (experience of working with pupils with ASC and SEMH preferred)
- Experience of developing policies and protocols
- Experience of managing and developing individuals and teams

We are an independent specialist day school in Ansley, a lovely small village, for children and young people aged between 11 and 17.
