School Nurse for Residential School

This role would suit a newly qualified Registered Nurse who is interested in working with SEBD children.

We are  looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Registered Nurse with great communication and interpersonal skills to join our clinical team. You would also possess the ability to work pro-actively in our team as well as having the initiative to work autonomously.

The clinical team works collaboratively with children, carers, education and care teams alongside the wider multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a nurturing, supportive and caring learning environment. The nurse will, along with the other members of the clinical team, contribute to mental health assessments to help determine, implement and assess all the health needs and therapeutic support for the children.

We provide care and education at our residential school for children aged 11 to 17 who have SEBD, some on the autistic spectrum and with ADHD.

This opportunity will provide excellent experience of working with SEBD children in a residential school setting and will require the successful applicant to have the confidence to be involved in training staff in the children’s requirements, along with other members of the clinical team, representing the school at meetings, maintaining all health needs of the children; including some complex mental health needs.

If you think you possess these qualities and are looking for an exciting new opportunity working with children in a residential setting we would love to hear from you. As we are a residential school, this will be a full-time role.

Desirable: Registered Nurse with Mental Health or Learning Disabilities qualification

Salary:  £31,580 to £33,832.50 per annum - full time, 52 weeks per annum

Annual Leave: 30 days
