Silverways School in Enfield is the latest school to be opened by the Kedleston Group Limited*. This new school will have places for 50 children and young people, age 7 to 17, who require specialist education for autism and associated needs. The school will deliver the National Curriculum from KS2 up to GCSE level, personalised to accommodate the needs of each learner.
The Headteacher is creating an inspirational team of diverse professionals who are dedicated to empowering children and young people with autism to become independent, ambitious global citizens.
Silverways School is due to open in April/May 2021. We are now looking to appoint qualified secondary teachers who are inspiring, attuned to the special needs of the pupils and have high expectations for everyone in the school; ensuring progress is made both academically, socially and emotionally.
We are especially keen to hear from teachers of maths, science, art/design technology and humanities but all specialisms will be considered in our search for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will:
be a consistently good Quality First teacher with experience of working with pupils with ASC
have high aspiration for pupil progress, development, and achievement.
understand how to adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of the pupils through a child-centred approach
have good time-management skills, be organised, self-motivated and committed to all aspects of school life
enjoy a collaborative style approach to working and development; understanding the commitment and hard work required to ‘get things done’ as part of a small, supportive team.
be resilient, have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour.
We can offer you:
a supportive, aspirational school where children are at the heart of what we do;
a brilliant, hard-working and collaborative staff team;
a new challenge; the opportunity to make a real difference to the life outcomes of pupils and to play a part in the development of the school from the beginning
continued professional development and a comprehensive training package;
a good school, committed to working with parents and the community.
If you have what it takes to be part of this dynamic team and wish to join us in this exciting new venture, then we would love to hear from you.
