About the role:

As a Teacher - Careers and Exam Lead at Mill School Bury, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. Alongside teaching, you will be responsible for the organisation and smooth running of both internal and external examinations, acting as the primary liaison between the school and external examination bodies, and you will take lead responsibility and accountability for the delivery of our school’s programme of careers advice and guidance. You will have the confidence and authority to lead colleagues, make decisions, and enact reforms to ensure that the school meets the Gatsby Benchmarks.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone who has a teaching degree or equivalent and holds QTS, ideally you will have experience of working with children with SEND and ASC, is familiar with the requirements and regulations placed on schools by both awarding bodies and the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and has experience with the registration of candidates for all examinations, and delivering careers guidance with an understanding of the implications of a changing education landscape for careers guidance, e.g. technical education reform. About us:

Mill School Bury, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist day school in Greater Manchester, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 17. Our purpose built state-of-the-art school provides a safe learning environment for those with social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and those living with autism (ASC), who also face other challenges such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia and attachment disorder (AD).
