About the role:

As Secondary Teacher at Arc Oakbridge School, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will be planning and delivering well-sequenced teaching and learning in accordance with school systems and procedures with guidance from the Assistant Head Teacher for Curriculum whilst Support the continual development and improvement of the curriculum through engagement in quality assurance and reflective practice. You will be ensuring pastoral needs are met and establishing excellent relationships with parents and carers and recording, monitoring and reporting on pupil progress using data to inform practice and as a basis for continual improvement. Inspire and influence others within the school to believe in the fundamental importance of education in young people’s lives and to promote the value of education.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone who holds QTS, and ideally you will have experience of working with children with SEND and ASC. With a proven ability to deliver high quality, lively and effective teaching, which engages and motivates young people, you’ll be someone who has a passion for supporting them to learn and develop, and you’ll want to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. About us:

Arc Oakbridge School, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist day school in central Birmingham for children and young people with autism aged between the ages of 7 and 16. Our school offers a calm, low arousal, safe, positive and nurturing place where young people with a primary need of autism (ASC), including Asperger’s Syndrome and associated complex needs can learn and grow. Cutting edge technology, including virtual reality, is used effectively as part of both the transition to the school and in teaching and support on an everyday basis.
