HR Coordinator (maternity cover)

Fixed term contract for up to one year starting on or around end of May 2020

Salary: £21,000 - £24,000 per annum (40 hours per week Mon to Fri)

As HR Coordinator, you will be accountable for the provision of efficient, accurate and credible generalist HR and Resourcing coordination, administration, advice, guidance and support to colleagues at High Peak School.

Main responsibilities

  • Day to day administration of HR, resourcing  and training records at High Peak School ensuring staff personnel files, agency/contractor files, matrices and SCR are kept up to date.
  • Main point of contact for general HR enquiries from both internal and external customers, referring queries where necessary to the appropriate member of the team.
  • Supporting High Peak School managers in the administration process for recruitment, selection and pre-employment checks.  
  • Assist with the smooth induction and oversight of probationary periods for new staff.
  • Managing and recording of annual leave, sickness absence and lateness records and processes
  • Responsible for administering leavers processes in liasion with payroll team
  • Responsibility for all payroll related administration within High Peak 
  • Review and maintain local organisational charts, policies and procedures.
  • Supporting and advising colleagues and managers at HPS on HR policy and procedures.
  • Minute taking and/or providing advice on policy and procedure at HPS HR meetings.
  • Ensuring security and maintaining confidentiality of all HR records at HPS.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.

Essential requirements

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • CIPD Qualification – Level 3 or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience of working as a HR Administrator or Coordinator

You will have excellent attention to detail, communication, administration and written skills and will be able to balance and deliver on competing priorities.
