Rachel Boylan

Head Teacher

I have worked within mainstream education with SEMH students for the past 18 years, beginning my career as a drama teacher and progressing over time to become a head of faculty, an assistant head teacher and then deputy head teacher.  During my time working in the education sector, I was also head of a pupil referral unit for children with SEMH and I worked as an education consultant supporting a number of secondary schools to improve the quality of education through whole school teaching and learning, and behaviour and safety.  

Going way back, it was my love of drama as a subject when I was at school that led me to want to teach drama, and since seeing its impact first hand in developing confidence, and self belief in young people, I have wanted to empower them ever since.   

I am passionate about engaging and inspiring all young people, and those who lead them, in their right to achieve and reach their full potential.  At High Peak we aim to equip students with the necessary life skills to become independent, resilient adults who believe in their ability to succeed.

Tracey Hill

Registered Manager - High Peak Children's Home

Tracey became Registered Manager at Wings Cumbria in November 2016, following on from an Interim Deputy Head of Care position within the Kedleston Group before starting as Resistered Manager at High Peak School in Spring 2020.

She has 30 years’ experience working with children and young people in residential settings with a variety of needs ranging from emotional and behavioural difficulties, physical and learning disabilities and ASD. Tracey has worked in short term emergency intervention services to longer term children’s homes including more recently a residential school.

She has held a Registered Managers Position for the most part of the last 14 years, with 4 years as a Senior Residential Manager. Tracey is also a NVQ Assessor and a Family Group Conference Facilitator.

As Registered Manager my aim is to ensure that all young people feel safe, happy and settled.
