Two ex-students from Wings School Notts have got in contact with the school to give an update on how they are getting on at College.
One of the young people who used to go to Wings School Notts attended his first day at College on Monday. He has chosen to be a mechanic as his career path and has had the opportunity to spend 1 day a week attending a Mechanics Course. He stared off the day working alongside a peer but then went on to learn independently after showing great interest and initiative. He had an extremely positive day working on several cars.
Another young person started College yesterday on a Catering Course.
He made an excellent start to his BTEC level in Catering and Hospitality at REAL education. The staff on site were blown away by the enthusiasm and willingness to succeed. He made a pepperoni pizza that was tested by several members of staff and given 10/10!
The College kindly provided a lovely quote;
'Our new pupil was absolutely amazing, a little nervous to start but he soon got into it and was great in the kitchen. He got really stuck in and produced some amazing pizzas and the sauce was lovely, he also did some theory work and completed the work set out. We look forward to seeing and working with him next week.'
