Registered Manager / Home Manager - Children's Services

£35,000 to £40,000 per annum (depending upon experience) + benefits

We are currently looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to join our team in opening and running one of our new services that will be located in Poynton. The Registered Manager will be responsible for a home which will cater for up to 5 children with a range of needs including behavioural emotional and social difficulties and therefore experience in this area is essential.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- To ensure a consistent, high quality care provision is set up and provided to all young people that live in the home
- To contribute to a rigorous programme of self-evaluation within the home which drives a culture of self-improvement
- To ensure that the quality of care provided for all our children is best in class and that the setting has a high quality, homely feel
- To ensure a working environment in which employees are motivated and empowered to achieve in all they do for our children
- To ensure that the Home’s occupancy targets are achieved and to pro-actively work to ensure that there is an active waiting list for places
This complex and vital role will also entail upholding and maintaining registration standards, all relevant Legislation and adhering to the Regulations and quality standards.
Person Specification (Essential):
- Relevant experience of successful working at a senior level with EBD children, or within the ASC sector
- Experience of leading and managing a team of staff
- Evidence of knowledge and experience of behaviour management
- Knowledge of current relevant legislation and guidelines
- Experience in managing referrals and liaising with social work and commissioning teams
- NVQ L3 (CYP) Children & Young People or equivalent
- NVQ L5 (CYP) Children & Young People or equivalent or be willing to work towards
- Stable and mature
