About the role:

As a Finance Admin Assistant at High Peak School you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. Working alongside the team based at the Corporate Support Office, you will be operating all accounting procedures and resolving any problems including the processing and payment of all goods and services provided to the School, the operation of all bank accounts, ensuring that a full reconciliation is undertaken at least once per month, maintaining an assets register, preparation of invoices and collection of fees and other dues, booking School monies and overseeing Petty Cash system.

About you:

Ideally, for this role, we are looking for someone who has general knowledge of operating, maintaining and developing financial procedures and experience in dealing with financial matters. Ideally you will have AAT or associated degree and experience of working within a similar role within a residential setting/school setting. You will have experience and knowledge in purchase ledger and payment runs, sales ledger and debt collection, credit card collation, payroll and expenses collation, nominal ledger, cash balances maintenance, reconciliations and administration and day to day banking procedures. About us:

High Peak School, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist residential primary and secondary education setting in Disley near Stockport for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 16. We support and care for children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, individuals on the autism spectrum and young people with ADHD, dyspraxia and dyslexia.
