Our pupils are amazing and they deserve amazing support staff! An opportunity has arisen for a School Office Manager to join the team at Arc Oakbridge School supporting colleagues, pupils, parents/carers and other partners with all aspects of school office administration and support. Your highly developed communication skills will enable you to work with a wide range of stakeholders and successfully manage the school office. You will be a team player and ideally have previous experience of HR and payroll administration. Above all, you will have a commitment to safeguarding and supporting the development of children with special educational needs to ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes.

Arc Oakbridge School is an independent special school catering for pupils whose primary diagnosis is autism and who have often struggled in mainstream settings. We offer an appropriate environment with small group sizes and put our pupils at the centre of everything that we do.

We offer:

  • a competitive salary and generous annual leave entitlement
  • a comprehensive induction programme so you can hit the ground running
  • continued programme of professional development and training
  • a friendly, passionate team committed to getting the best outcomes for our young people

Arc Oakbridge School is part of the Kedleston Group and opened in 2018. We are an independent special day school in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham with a specially designed learning environment created to meet the needs of autistic children. We provide a calm, safe, positive and nurturing place where young people can learn and grow. Class sizes are very small and classrooms are ‘enabling environments’ with sensory lighting, muted colours, individual work stations and visual timetables. The curriculum is designed to meet the specific academic, social, emotional and sensory needs of each individual young person. Cutting edge technology, including virtual reality, is used effectively as part of both the transition to the school and in teaching and support. Through close partnerships with families, professionals and the wider community our school ensures that all children and young people thrive and given the right start in life.

Kedleston Group Limited is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its children and young people and we expect all staff to share this commitment. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You will be expected to engage in annual safeguarding training, be familiar with key policies and ensure you know the steps to take should you be made aware of a safeguarding or child protection concern. You will remain vigilant and act swiftly if you have concerns about a child and be an appropriate role model for both children and colleagues at all times.

The successful candidate is required to provide references and will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check. We will ask you to complete a criminal self-declaration form, and we will conduct online searches for information that is publicly available. We are an equal opportunities employer welcoming applications from all sections of the community.
