Head Teacher – Olsen House School, Crosby, Liverpool
Salary: circa £70k
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and inspirational leader to join our team of circa 30 colleagues, at Olsen House School as Head Teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Head Teacher who is experienced within SEMH/ASC education and who shares our mission to develop confident and capable young people by meeting their educational, health and social care needs in a structured and nurturing school environment.
Through your visionary, inspired leadership and working in partnership with our children and young people, their families, carers and other stakeholders, to achieve outcomes which make a difference, you will ensure Olsen House School is a leading school within the sector, delivering on its Vision and Mission.
In addition to ensuring the School complies with and exceeds all regulatory requirements, you will lead the School in all areas of education and learning to ensure all children placed at the school achieve their maximum potential.
Your role will also require you to structure, organise and develop a team of professionals who are committed to delivering the School’s Vision, ensuring the highest possible outcomes for all its children.
Olsen House School, part of Kedleston Group Limited, is a specialist independent school for children and young people who present as having ASC or SEMH needs. The school is currently registered for 45 children in KS2/KS3 and KS4 with plans to increase capacity to 55 upon completion of current expansion work which is due to end this term. The school is currently rated as ‘Good’, and is in an OFSTED inspection year, expected during the summer term.
The successful candidate will start in January 2020, or sooner if available, and reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, will be responsible for the operational management of the school, ensuring the highest quality specialist education for our students.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to evidence strong leadership qualities, a passion for innovation and continuous improvement, as well as demonstrable experience and knowledge of working within the arena of SEMH and ASC education.
