Part of our KS3 Art curriculum is to create artwork inspired by our natural environment.
We went on a beach combing trip to the North Lake District Coast, where we spent the afternoon rock pooling and found shrimps, crabs, sea anemones and many different shells and stones.
Back in the classroom, we have started our project by photographing and sketching what we found and are now working on three dimensional sketching in clay and making plaster casts that will be painted and fired to make beautiful wall plaques to display around our school.
