One of the young people from Wings School Cumbria had an ambition to visit the capital cities of England Scotland and Wales by train. He has already been to London and Edinburgh and the final journey was to the Welsh capital, Cardiff.
Care worker Jordon has helped A plan his trips and then accompanied him on each of the trips. A has made a point of meeting and talking to the Train Manager on each of the journeys.
They had a great day visiting Cardiff castle, Cardiff Stadium, shopping and lunching out.
Part of Kedleston Group’s mission is to provide our young people with memorable experiences. In this case, it is facilitating A’s interest in seeing different cities. Days out and trips further afield are organised across the group’s schools and homes. Last year saw a group of young people and care staff taking a trip to Disneyland Paris.
