I am delighted to introduce you to our school at such an exciting stage in our journey. As we continue to grow and develop, our commitment to providing the very best for our pupils remains at the heart of everything we do. At Arc School Ansley, our ambition is clear: we believe that every child has the right to a high-quality education and that every day presents an opportunity to shape lives. Our mission is to provide specialist education for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition, many of whom have faced challenges in mainstream settings. Through tailored teaching, therapeutic practices, and a nurturing environment, we support each pupil’s academic progress, emotional well-being, and personal growth.
Our vision is to lead in Autism education by enabling every young person to learn, grow, and thrive, both as valued members of our school community and the wider world. In partnership with families and research organisations, we are shaping best practice in Autism education, ensuring that every pupil has a personalised pathway to success.

What We Offer
Education
Education
Here at Arc Ansley we offer a holistic, tailored curriculum for all of our pupils. Following national curriculum guidelines and utilising a range of exam boards we pathway pupils through our school to ensure they achieve academic, social and emotional milestones that support them in their future endeavours. Pupils take examinations at GCSE and Entry Level as well as BTEC, Arts Award and Functional Skills Qualifications. Further education college placements and work experience are offered at Key Stage 4 to prepare the young people for adult life. All young people move onto college or a work placement when leaving the school.
The school building has been designed to create spacious and calming learning environments for children living with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition which include: Science laboratory, Art room, Computing and IT, Food technology and Design and technology. As part of our approach we offer as many practical learning opportunities as possible to help immerse pupils in their learning.
Therapy
Therapy
Therapeutic intervention occurs on several levels and targeted programmes of support are provided for a range of different needs. At a universal level, all pupils receive specialist input through the close working of the therapy team with other staff members. Our Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Psychotherapist are on hand to discuss universal intervention through the curriculum, subject topics and the Securing Education in School (SES) program. More specific work might be completed by the therapy team through whole group teaching of life skills, relaxation and social communication, or group sessions where the need has been identified. Some pupils receive specific 1:1 input where areas of need have been identified.

At Arc School Ansley, we are committed to supporting pupils to develop into responsible, respectful and active citizens, who can play their part in becoming actively involved in public life as adults, regardless of their diagnosis or difficulties. The personal development and character education of our pupils is multifaceted and is drawn from an array of curriculum subjects, pastoral supports and targeted work at home and in the community. It draws on pupil strengths, targets areas for development and builds their skills in order for them to succeed in their chosen academic subjects and successfully move on to the next stage of their journey, be that education, employment or training.
