PUPILS at Arc School Ansley excelled in Science this academic year, with impressive and record-breaking results achieved in this core subject.
The Year 11s achieved an average of seven qualifications each, including those in other core subjects Maths and English.
Highlights across the school included:
- A total of 78 qualifications achieved across the school
- Almost 80% of pupils achieved a Maths qualification
- 100% of pupils gained a qualification in Science
- A record 19 Science GCSE qualifications were gained
- 49 GCSEs were achieved
- GCSEs were gained in English Language, Maths, Science, Combined Science, Food and Nutrition, Geography and Computer Science
- Multiple students gained five or more GCSEs at grades 4-9
There were impressive individual successes too with one pupil achieving a Double Science GCSE at grades 9:8.
Other qualifications achieved included Level 1 Sports Science, BTEC Performing Arts, Entry Level Computer Science and Level 1 Creative iMedia. And nine pupils also achieved a BTEC in Personal Growth and Wellbeing with both Award and Certificate level accreditations.
Pupils are moving on to a range of settings to undertake a range of courses including, A Levels, Construction, Animal Care, Hairdressing, Sport and to follow an Aspire Programme.
