NottinghamshireExam Results
The most recent Year 11 leavers at Dukes Wood School (Formerly Wings School Notts) secured a total of 88 qualifications across their time at the school.
On average, pupils achieved 10 qualifications each, demonstrating significant progress and success across a broad curriculum. A total of 16 GCSEs were achieved in English, Mathematics and Science.
The school achieved particularly strong outcomes in the core subjects. Highlights included:
- 100% of pupils achieving qualifications in English and mathematics.
- Every pupil also achieved qualifications in both English and mathematics.
These achievements were especially significant given that many pupils joined Wings Notts (now Dukes Wood School) having experienced considerable barriers to education, including periods of very low attendance, trauma and mental health challenges. Their achievements reflected exceptional resilience, determination and commitment to learning.
Alongside GCSEs, all pupils achieved BTEC PSHE qualifications, while many also gained Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in Science, Sports Leadership, Home Cooking, Arts Award and Child Development. Pupils also achieved the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award and vocational qualifications in areas such as construction and public services.
Pupils have now progressed to a variety of further education and training opportunities, including courses in Engineering, Mechanics, Child Care and Public Services, as well as apprenticeships.
