We are proud to share that Arc School Old Arley has been praised by Ofsted following its latest inspection.
Inspectors recognised the school’s warm and supportive environment, noting that pupils are welcomed with “smiles, warmth and a staff team who truly have their best interests at heart”. Positive relationships were highlighted as a key strength, helping pupils to re engage with learning and feel confident in school.
The report also praises the broad, tailored curriculum, particularly in vocational and personal development areas where pupils experience success and build confidence. This is contributing to improved attendance, with more pupils motivated to come to school and take part in their learning.
Ofsted noted that while many pupils join the school having fallen behind, they make strong progress over time and are well prepared for their next steps. Pupils achieve a range of academic and vocational qualifications, with many working towards at least nine certificated outcomes.
The school was also commended for its calm and purposeful classrooms, ambitious personal development programme and strong support for preparing pupils for adulthood.
Overall, Arc School Old Arley met expectations across all areas and achieved a ‘Strong Standard’ in Leadership and Governance under Ofsted’s new framework.
