Samrai first joined Leaways through an agency before successfully becoming a permanent member of our TA team. Since then, he has grown tremendously in confidence and responsibility and has become a valued and versatile member of our school community.
A sportsman at heart, Samrai has a natural ability to connect with pupils through physical activity. He supports PE across the school and works alongside our external boxing trainer to deliver boxing interventions. Pupils respond incredibly well to him and see him as a positive role model. Through sport, he helps pupils develop confidence, resilience, discipline and positive relationships.
Samrai has also shown that he can adapt to a wide range of roles. He has worked successfully with groups of pupils, provided one to one support and supported pupils within our Primary provision. He is proactive, increasingly confident in using his initiative and willing to take responsibility when needed.
One of the things we are particularly proud to recognise is Samrai's growth. Throughout his time at Leaways, he has continued to learn, develop and build on his strengths. His relationships with pupils have grown alongside him, and the positive impact he has on the young people he supports is clear to see.
Samrai has become a valued member of the Leaways team, and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop and achieve even more.
Congratulations, Samrai. This recognition is very well deserved.
