To mark the end of a successful year together, 9ET enjoyed a memorable celebration with their English teacher, Beth Swords, before wishing her well as she moves on to her next chapter.
The day began with a hearty breakfast at a local café in Clapton, giving pupils and staff the opportunity to relax, chat, and reflect on everything they had achieved together over the year. From there, the group travelled to Rowans for an afternoon of bowling and arcade games, creating some wonderful memories outside the classroom.
The bowling proved to be fiercely competitive, with Dejarni narrowly claiming victory by just a single point over João in a dramatic finish. Meanwhile, Beth and Tyrone brought plenty of laughter to the afternoon by proudly occupying the bottom two places on the leaderboard!
More importantly than the final scores, the trip celebrated the strong relationships that had developed throughout the year. Pupils represented the school brilliantly, showing kindness, respect, and excellent behaviour throughout the day.
We would like to thank Beth for her dedication and the positive impact she has had on the pupils in 9ET. She will be greatly missed, and we wish her every success for the future.
