Students and staff joined in by wearing their favourite pairs of jeans, creating a fun and colourful atmosphere across the school. An assembly was also held to help students understand the purpose behind the day and why supporting children with genetic conditions is so important.
A special thank you to Yvonne, one of our lovely Teaching Assistants, who led the assembly and helped inspire our students to think creatively. As part of the day, Yvonne also presented three pairs of jeans to Key Stages 2, 3 and 4, encouraging students to design and personalise them using their imagination and artistic talents. The activity gave students a wonderful opportunity to showcase their creativity on a unique canvas while supporting an important cause.
As part of the celebrations, our Art Teacher, Mr Brian, initiated a creative art competition where students were invited to design their own favourite pair of jeans. The competition gave students an opportunity to express their creativity and imagination through art.
A big congratulations to our best designers, April, Siddy and Connor, who each received a £10 Amazon voucher as a prize!
It was a wonderful combination of awareness, creativity and community spirit at Mapesbury.
