Our post-lunch celebration for World Book Day was a truly delightful and memorable event. To start with, students participated in a creative activity where they designed and made their own book covers, showcasing their imagination and love for stories.
The afternoon was filled with fun and excitement as both students and staff came dressed as a wide range of beloved book and film characters. The school was brought to life with characters such as Mary Poppins, Rastamouse, Cruella De Vil, Men in Black, Miss Trunchbull, Princess Pearl, Where’s Wally, Captain Hook, Top Gun, the Evil Queen, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and characters from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
The celebration concluded with a reminder of the importance of reading and the joy that books bring to our lives. Students then took part in an exciting Kahoot quiz that tested their knowledge of stories and characters. The event was organised by Ms. Tegan Nicol, the English teacher.
To end the day on a sweet note, students were given chocolates – a perfect finish to a wonderful World Book Day celebration.
