On 28th April 2026, students at Mapesbury School participated in an engaging and thought‑provoking road safety workshop delivered by The Riot Act- a team known for bringing energy, creativity and real‑world relevance into learning.

Through interactive games, lively discussions and hands-on activities, students explored not only road safety but also its connection to sustainability. They were encouraged to think about how their everyday choices impact both their safety and the environment, sparking some incredibly mature and insightful conversations.

What made the session especially powerful was giving students a voice. As part of a Brent-wide competition, they began shaping their own project ideas to present alongside other schools at an upcoming event. The creativity in the room was inspiring — from designing an educational board game to writing persuasive letters advocating for more crossings and traffic lights near their school.

Students showed passion, teamwork, and a genuine desire to make their community safer. It was fantastic to see them not just learning about change but actively planning how to create it.

We’re excited to see their ideas come to life and can’t wait to cheer them on at the final event.
