They have been working on a Space Travel news project in their Creative Media lessons for the past month, and they finally got to bring all of their hard work to life in the form of a news report.
Each student picked a role they would like to play, either behind or in front of the camera, including directing, camera operation, editing, presenting or a reporter. They learnt how to operate a camera, edit their broadcast, select props and prepare and read an autocue.
The finished report was edited by the Sky team, and they got to see it on the big screen, which was very exciting!
As an extra treat, they had a tour of the studios, seeing Sky News and Sky Sports being filmed live.
After watching the news report back in school, the younger students now cannot wait to get to year 9 to experience such an amazing day out!
