World Mental Health Day - pupils and staff came together by wearing yellow to show their support for mental health awareness

To mark World Mental Health Day, pupils and staff came together by wearing yellow to show their support for mental health awareness.

During Basics, pupils and staff took part in our Monday Mile, enjoying the benefits of physical activity and fresh air to support their wellbeing. Pupils also read and discussed poems which encouraged them to reflect on their feelings and emotions, helping them to understand that it is okay to ask for help and talk to others when they need support.

At lunchtime, pupils enjoyed a range of mindful activities, including colouring and bracelet-making. These creative activities provided opportunities to relax, focus and spend time with friends in a calm and positive environment.

It was a wonderful day that highlighted the importance of mental wellbeing and reminded us that looking after our mental health is just as important as looking after our physical health.
