Curriculum & Approach

Shillington Park School wants all pupils to have the most positive education experience, understanding that some will have had periods out of school or not had the best experience with learning so far.

We will tailor the curriculum to identify and support the most effective approach for pupils, taking into account the pathway that best suits their needs.  All pupils will have access to a broad range of subjects, with opportunities to achieve qualifications that reflect their abilities and align with their learning styles.

The school benefits from a good outside area for an inner London site and we will take full advantage of this and the local community to offer a broad range of opportunities for learning and play. A key focus of our school will be to build pupils’ confidence and self-esteem to improve their long-term outcomes and prepare them for adulthood.

Pupils will be supported to develop those all-important life skills needed to navigate their world beyond school. There will be a strong focus on developing independence and self-confidence.
