Pupils in 7B enjoyed an exciting afternoon of hands-on scientific investigation as they explored how the volume of plastic bottles and the amount of water inside them can affect the distance they travel when launched using a bike pump.
Before testing their ideas, the class put their outdoor education skills to good use by designing and building a launch stand for the bottles. Working together, they carefully planned and constructed a sturdy base, demonstrating excellent teamwork and problem-solving throughout the activity.
The investigation gave pupils the opportunity to make predictions, test different variables and observe the results first-hand. It was fantastic to see everyone fully engaged in the challenge, with smiles on faces from start to finish.
Most importantly, the afternoon highlighted the power of collaboration, as pupils supported one another, shared ideas and worked together to achieve success. It was a wonderful example of learning in action and a great opportunity for 7B to combine science, practical skills and teamwork in a fun and memorable way.
