This month, we are delighted to recognise two members of staff who consistently go above and beyond for our pupils. Although their roles are very different, Esmond and Aisha share the same commitment to helping young people succeed through positive relationships, high expectations, and unwavering dedication.
Esmond has made a remarkable impact through his work as a one-to-one member of staff. Supporting one of our most complex pupils, he has provided the consistency, stability, and positive role modelling that have helped the young person settle into school life and engage much more successfully with learning. His calm, grounded, and mature approach, combined with a strong work ethic and clear expectations, has created a relationship built on trust and respect. Esmond takes great pride in his role, approaches every day with professionalism, and is an excellent role model not only for the pupil he supports but for colleagues across the school.
Aisha has also had an outstanding year and continues to flourish in her role as an HLTA. Having been part of the Kedleston family for four years, she has embraced every opportunity to develop her skills and confidence, becoming an integral member of the Leaways team. She has developed a real passion for delivering phonics, and the impact of her work has been wonderful to see. Through her support, one of our youngest pupils has found their voice, grown in confidence, and made fantastic progress in communication and learning. She has also helped nurture the pupil's enthusiasm for boxing and sensory circuits, recognising the importance of developing confidence, resilience, and self belief alongside academic success.
Both Esmond and Aisha demonstrate the values that are so important to our school community. Their professionalism, compassion, and commitment have had a lasting impact on the pupils they support, and their dedication does not go unnoticed.
