Finding Their Voice: End of Term Music Showcase

Monday, 6th July 2026, 09:27

Celebrating creativity, confidence, and talent, with an impressive range of musical talent

As part of our end of Summer 1 celebrations, a number of our pupils took centre stage in a special Music Showcase Assembly, celebrating the creativity, commitment, and talent they have developed in our on-site recording studio.

Working closely with our Music and Media teacher, Oscar Smith, pupils have spent the term writing, producing, and recording their own original music. The showcase provided an opportunity to perform and share the results of their hard work with staff and peers, highlighting not only their musical ability but also the confidence and resilience they have developed throughout the creative process.

The performances reflected an impressive range of musical styles and influences, including hip hop, rap, R&B, Brazilian funk, indie rock, and indie pop. Every track showcased individuality and originality, with pupils using music as a powerful outlet to express their ideas, experiences, and creativity.

It was inspiring to see pupils present music they had created entirely themselves—from the earliest stages of songwriting and composition through to recording and performance. The assembly celebrated far more than musical talent; it recognised the dedication, perseverance, collaboration, and courage involved in sharing original work with an audience.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part in the showcase: Kyan Asare, Safeyan Hussain, Isaac Singhateh, Kyron Clayton, Anthony Kleanthous, Cayden Belton-Andrew, Dejarni Williams, and Sonny Fernehough-Teghri. Their performances made for a memorable and inspiring celebration of creativity, and we look forward to seeing their musical journeys continue to flourish.
